The artist broke his recently set record for the largest leap to the top of the Billboard charts; he now has two singles topping the charts.
Rapper T.I. broke a record previously set by him for achieving the largest leap into the Billboard Top 100’s number one position with his single, “Live Your Life,” featuring Rihanna, which jumped 79 spots, according to Reuters.
The record was set by another one of T.I.’s singles, entitled “Whatever You Like.” The single jumped from the 71st spot to the number one spot, where it reigned for five weeks before slipping to the number two spot this week.
“Live Your Life” also broke the record for most digital downloads, coming in at 335,000 in the United States. The record was previously held by Mariah Carey’s single, “Touch My Body,” which sold 286,000 digital copies.
Pink’s single, “So What,” about her divorce from husband Carey Hart, dropped to the number three spot for the week. Rihanna’s “Disturbia” and Kevin Rudolf’s “Let It Rock” rounded out the top five for the week.
