New Guns N' Roses Album to Drop Next Month
Nearly a decade in the making, the latest Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, will be released in November, according to Reuters.
Rather than the standard Tuesday release, the latest Guns N' Roses album will be released on Sunday, Nov. 23. The album will be exclusive to Best Buy stores.
The first single off the new album will debut in the video game, Rock Band 2. The track is entitled, "Shackler's Revenge." Another track off of the album, "If the World," is featured during the credit sequence in the latest Leonardo DiCaprio flick, Body of Lies.
The band's last albums, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, were released simultaneously in 1991. In 1993, a cover album was released that featured some original Guns N' Roses work.
To complement the new album, the first Guns N' Roses album, Appetite for Destruction, which was originally released in 1987, will be reissued on Oct. 28 on vinyl by Interscope.
Earlier this year, soft drink manufacturer Dr. Pepper offered to send a can of the soda to every person in America if Chinese Democracy was released in 2008. Reps for the soft drink giant were not immediately available for comment.
