McCain Reschedules His Appearance on Letterman
12-Oct-2008

McCain to appear on Letterman after previous cancellation.
Republican presidential nominee John McCain is once again on the lineup with late night funnyman, David Letterman.
Controversy ensued last month over McCain’s sudden cancellation from a scheduled appearance on Late Show with David Letterman. At the time, he suspended his campaign for a couple of days to solve the economic crisis (mission accomplished). However, Letterman viewed the move as a political stunt, which went contrary to his honorable “straight talk” persona.
Irking Letterman even more was the fact that McCain was in New York City, just a few blocks away, the day he was supposed to be on the show. The move prompted swift and hilarious political jokes from the veteran comedian.
Given all this drama, it’s unclear whether Letterman will “play nice” during the interview. Letterman is known for speaking his mind and Bill O’Reilly can verify that fact (YouTube the clip, if you haven’t seen it already).
McCain is due to appear on the CBS program this Thursday . . . hopefully.
