DJ AM Performs at Benefit Concert in Hollywood
Renowned DJ AM made his first public appearance at a benefit concert in Hollywood on Tuesday night. He was one of the survivors of a deadly plane crash last month with friend Travis Barker.
The concert lasted five hours and was entitled "Welcome Home DJ AM," whose real name is Adam Goldstein. He was joined by his closest friends, including celebrity DJs Mark Ronson, Mix Master Mike, Steve Aoki, and Danny Masterson.
Barker, who was severely injured in the plane crash, remains hospitalized in Los Angeles. He notes that his fellow friend is providing him with the "inspiration" he needs for a full recovery.
"I've known him since we were kids. I just saw him for the first time [since the crash] and it was literally an amazing moment," said Cisco Adler about Goldstein.
"I hung out with Adam the other day, he's home, and he's doing great. Adam is still I think in shock. He can't believe what happened. It's a miracle," said friend Simon Rex.
The concert, which drew a crowd of 1,500 people, was to benefit the families of plane crash victims, which included Barker's assistant, Lil' Chris Baker, and his bodyguard, Charles "Che" Still. In attendance were Hilary Duff and Chris Masterson.
