Janet Jackson's Comeback
Janet Jackson returned back to the stage last night at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The singer had cancelled her presentations due to a mysterious illness that was finally revealed as: "vertigo."
According to the Associated Press, Jackson, sporting a mohawk, charged the stage amid fireworks and clouds of smoke, playing a bevy of her earliest hits, like "Pleasure Principle" and "What Have You Done for Me Lately."
"It feels so good to be back after being down just a little bit," Jackson told the crowd, during her two-hour show. The AP reported that the pop singer did look breathless at times.
By the end of her performance, an emotional Jackson, with tears in her eyes, told the crowd, "I love you, D.C., so much." Seven years after her last tour, the pop singer proved to her loyal fans that she is in great shape to continue her North American presentations. Jackson has shows scheduled in the following weeks in Houston, Atlanta, New York, and New Jersey.
