“Project Runway” Season Five Highest Rated Season Ever
17-Oct-2008

Not the highest finale, however.
The finale of Project Runway propelled the fifth and final season (on the network) of the Bravo reality show to the biggest individual season's ratings.
The 9 p.m. ET finale averaged 4.8 million total viewers and 3.2 million adults between the highly coveted 18-49 demographic. This performance made it cable's top-rated cable program on Wednesday night, which was impressive, considering that the presidential debate was airing at the same time as Leanne Marshall was winning $100,000 to start her own line.
The 4.8 million and 3.2 million, respectively, was down from the individual performance of season three and four, but Project Runway season five was still the highest rated edition of the show.
If you factor in the 11 p.m. encore edition of the finale (which you should, considering the debate aired at the same time), then 7.2 million viewers saw the finale.
The average numbers for the season were 3.6 million viewers and 2.4 million adults between 18-49.
Production on the show's sixth season is near completion, but will likely be delayed in its move to Lifetime because of an ongoing court case.
