Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi" Lashes Out

Could it be that singer Avril Lavigne is already sick of her "Sk8er Boi" husband, Deryck Whibley? Rumor has it that Lavigne and her Sum 41 front man husband are ready to split after two years of marriage.

However, 28-year-old Whibley has lashed out at the National Enquirer, which published a story earlier this week that said the couple had "been growing apart for months." The National Enquirer also claimed, "Deryck isn't motivated in his own career, so he's been drinking and partying." According to MTV.com, the rocker insists though that the story has been completely fabricated, saying, "Since when did the National Enquirer become a trustworthy news source?"

"For the record, we strongly deny the inference of marital problems between Avril and Deryck. We also strongly deny the National Enquirer claims of any other liaisons," Whibley's management firm, Nettwerk Music Group, said in the statement. "Deryck has in fact been traveling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous YouTube videos."
