The New York Giants Bounce Back
After a mortifying loss to the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football, the New York Giants responded well with a victory against the San Francisco 49ers. In addition, the Giants are standing alone at the top of their NFC East division. New York's deadly pass rush looked like the dominant defending Super Bowl team that they were from last season. The Giants had a grand total of six sacks, and that includes two sacks and two forced fumbles from defensive end Justin Tuck. Although Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce was injured, his replacement in Chase Blackburn had a sack and a forced fumble. Offensively, the Giants had their power running game lead the way for them. Brandon Jacobs found the end zone two times, and the 49ers defense had a tough time generating any pressure on Eli Manning. A big question heading into this game for the Giants was how they would be able to force turnovers. Thankfully for the Giants, New York forced San Francisco to turn the ball over three times. The 49ers will go to 2-5, and the Giants will go to 5-1.
