Fox Renews "Sarah Connor Chronicles"
Late last month, there were multiple credible outlets reporting that it was a distinct possibility that Fox would cancel Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles before the next episode aired.
Well, we waited, but Fox did not cancel the show. In fact, they gave it the ultimate vote of confidence, and extended Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles last Friday.
It becomes the second sophomore show this season to receive a full-season order, despite floundering ratings. The first was NBC's Chuck, which received a full 22 episode order before the first episode of the season aired.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles have experienced a worse ratings dropoff this year than even Chuck. The show is averaging 5.8 million viewers per week, which is down over 3 million viewers from last season (before the strike).
It's currently drawing a 2.5 rating among adults in the 18-49 demographic, and is third place in its time slot (with Chuck).
