Lindsay Lohan Sued by Passengers in 2007 DUI Excursion
According to E! Online, Lindsay Lohan was sued in Los Angeles Superior Court. The lawsuit was filed on October 14 by three men who were in an SUV during Lohan's July 24, 2007 DUI arrest. The men, Ronnie Blake, Jakon Sutter, and Dante Nigro, are alleging that Lohan had them crying "for their lives" when she allegedly jumped into Nigro's SUV to chase her assistant with whom she had an argument. Lohan was allegedly speeding through intersections and "stop signs without slowing down." Lohan was arrested on July 24, 2007 and booked on suspicion of DUI and cocaine possession after failing a field sobriety test. Lohan plead no contest to the charges and entered a rehabilitation facility in Utah.
An attorney for Lohan, Ed McPherson, wonders why the men simply "didn't just get out of the car" since Lindsay stopped several times. The men are seeking $50,000 in damages.
This lawsuit comes as Lohan has been getting back to work and putting her life back on track following a string of substance abuse issues. She and her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, have been spotted out and about in Los Angeles and New York. In addition, Lohan is currently working on a new album which is tentatively scheduled to be released in November.
