Different minds: Ashley wants kids while Mary Kate does not.

As if their differences in style and personalities weren't enough to help you differ between the dynamic Olsen Twin duo, the two say they differ on family matters as well reports Us Magazine.

The two spoke briefly to designer Karl Lagerfeld for their new coffee table book "Influences" to reveal they want different things in their family lives.

When asked about their future families, Mary- Kate told Lagerfeld, "I don't feel the need to get married."

She adds, "But Ashley wants children." When the time comes, Mary-Kate says confidently, "I'll be a great aunt or godmother."

"To my child," Ashley said confirming her hope of future children.

This doesn't mean you will be hearing wedding bells for the famous twin yet though as she also told Lagerfeld she still has to meet the right guy.

"I don't even have a boyfriend," she said, "You have to plan that first, right? Figure that out first?"

Important to note is that, reportedly, Ashley is now dating Justin Bartha. No word on how things are progressing though.

As far as living apart goes, the two will reportedly be candidly discussing the mater on Thursday's Oprah.

When asked if living apart has been a good thing, Ashley told Oprah, "Absolutely."

Mary-Kate adds, "We're sisters. We're twins. We work together, and I think to live separately is just -- it gives you your space."

The two still are very close, and apparently still live near each other as she continued, "I mean, she lives a few blocks away, but it's just -- it's nice ... to go home [and be alone]."

There may come a time when the two live together again though as Ashley said, We're with each other even after work. We should probably just be living together!"
