Seth Myers announced her birth during Weekend Update.
Actor and comedian Amy Poehler has given birth for the first time. And it is a boy.
The "Saturday Night Live" actress (well, former "SNL" actress now) welcomed her first child with husband Will Arnett ("Arrested Development") on Saturday evening.
The pair has also released the name of their child - Archie Arnett.
The actress has become well known since joining the show, but has become a viral video hit when she began playing Hillary Clinton when the primary season began long ago.
"Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she is having a baby," Seth Myers said at the beginning of "Weekend Update."
Poehler will join a spinoff of "The Office" after she returns from maternity leave.
