Jennifer Hudson Is "Still in Shock"

Dream Girls' Jennifer Hudson has been staying at a Chicago hotel with family and friends in wake of the tragedy claiming the lives of her mother, brother, and nephew, reports E! Online.

A source had told E! News that Hudson is "still in shock" and that, "She hasn't gone out much at all and has a lot of security around her."

It is being reported that Hudson was in Florida when she received the news that her mother, Darnell, and brother, Jason Hudson, had been fatally shot and that her young nephew, Julian King, was missing.

She got on a plane and checked into the Trump International Hotel & Tower that same day.

The singer hasn't been seen in public since Monday when she had to ID the body of her nephew at the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Sources tell E! News that Hudson has hardly left the hotel suite, opting instead to have cousins take care of things such as getting food and picking up items from her downtown condo.

At least Hudson is not alone during her time of need. A source also told E! News that besides having family and friends, her fiance, David Otunga, has been with her every step of the way.

A source close to the family reportedly told the Web site, "David's been by her side through this whole tragedy." They added, "He has totally been there for her."
