George Clooney May Return to ER
Dr. Ross is back? According to TV Guide, George Clooney may be returning to briefly reprise his role, as Dr. Ross, on the long-running medical drama, ER. ER is in its fifteenth and final season on NBC. Clooney left ER in 1999 after playing Dr. Ross for five years.
Clooney is reportedly returning to the series along with Noah Wyle (Dr. John Carter) and Eriq La Salle (Dr. Peter Benton). According to Wyle, "George said, 'absolutely,' schedule permitting."
Clooney left the series to pursue a movie career. Clooney has had several movie successes including Ocean's Eleven and its sequels Ocean's Twelve and Ocean'sThirteen, as well as Syriana and Good Night, and Good Luck.
In addition to acting, Clooney has also been directing. Clooney first stepped behind the camera in 2002 when he made his directorial debut with the film, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, starring Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore, and Julia Roberts.
Clooney is a confirmed bachelor who has claimed that he will never marry nor have any children. Clooney is the son of Nick Clooney, a journalist and aspiring politician, and Nina Bruce. Clooney is also the nephew of the late singer-actress, Rosemary Clooney.
