In a dramatic comeback fashion, the Denver Broncos were victorious over the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football with the final score being 34-30. Denver quarterback Jay Cutler had a career high of 447 yards passing. Additionally, he threw three touchdown passes to three different targets. Although the Broncos had a depleted running back core and an inadequate defense, the double digit deficit was reduced by a gorgeous 93 yard touchdown throw from Cutler to rookie wide receiver Eddie Royal.

Brady Quinn made his highly anticipated starting debut, and he was superb with his two touchdown completions to Kellen Winslow. The offensive fireworks were ubiquitous, as both Winslow and Royal had over 100 yards receiving. According to NFL.com, Quinn stated, "I told everyone, this one is flat on me. I know I am good enough that I can make a play at the end and win. I felt comfortable out there, it's my home away from home." In actuality, Quinn was taking the high road and not using his teammates as a scapegoat. Cleveland's Winslow had a crucial drop in the fourth quarter that sealed the win for Denver. The Broncos improved to 5-4, and the Browns lost another tough game and went to 3-6.
