Steve Carell Joins “Beaver” Film

The script is supposed to be very good.
Steve Carell has been attached to star in The Beaver, a film that is described as "a whimsical tale that occupies the fantastical territory as 'Being John Malkovich' and 'Lars and the Real Girl.'"
The script was written by Kyle Killen, who is new to Hollywood, and is about a man who walks around with a beaver puppet on his hand. He treats the puppet as something that's human with feelings and the whole bit, which is very similar to what Lars does with a blow up doll.
Anonymous Content has bought the script, and many studios are reportedly interested. A director hasn't been attached, but expect one to be soon.
