Steve Carell Reportedly On Board for “Get Smart 2”

The sequel is a go.
The Office star Steve Carell has reportedly agreed to once again come aboard and act in the sequel to Get Smart.
This summer's blockbuster hit was a huge hit for all of those involved, but especially Carell. From the movie's success, the 40-Year-Old Virgin star earned a multimillion dollar, three movie deal with Warner Bros. in October.
But the deal has nothing to do with starring in a sequel to the spy thriller. Even though that's the case, Carell seems more than opening for the sequel.
"He's not asking for ridiculous money," a source tells the New York Daily News. "It's not green-lit yet, but it's in active development."
"We're not having any difficulty with Steve," a Warner Bros. spokesperson recently said. "We have a great relationship. We just signed a first-look production deal with him. He's on the lot now. We're looking forward to a long relationship."
Get Smart grossed more than $231 million to date globally.
