Rihanna’s Sydney Performance Cut Short by Health Scare
7-Nov-2008

Singer Rihanna was rushed from her performance at a Sydney, Australia venue after feeling ill.

R&B singing sensation Rihanna was rushed by paramedics from her performance at Sydney, Australia’s Acer Arena on Thursday, following her complaining of feeling ill.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, “The Bajan beauty was performing at Sydney's Acer Arena when she appeared to be in physical pain after being lowered down to the stage by a harness.

“The star's beau Chris Brown had joined her on-stage for a rousing rendition of their remix to her smash hit ‘Umbrella’ -- a track named ‘Cinderella’ -- when she had to flee the stage to seek medical attention.”

According to MTV.com, “It was very hot at the venue, so after Rihanna's set was over, she went offstage and needed to sit down, catch her breath and have some water,” a rep for the singer told MTV News on Friday (November 7). “She is perfectly healthy and will be at her show tomorrow.”

It seems the singer may have fallen ill due to the venue’s air conditioning system. Since late last month, Brown and Rihanna have been touring together in Australia. Their last show is slated to be November 11 in the capital of Western Australia and the fourth-largest city in Australia, Perth.
