Eagles of Death Metal Announce More Album Details
9-Nov-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril
The band’s drummer is the leadman from another famous band.
Eagles of Death Metal will release their third album, Heart On, on January 26 of next year.
The record - made by front man Jesse "The Devil" Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme - will be their first since 2006's Death by Sexy, which was critically-acclaimed.
The duo have received help on the album from Brody Dalle, from the Distillers (also Homme's wife), and Troy Van Leeuwen, Homme's bandmate from Queens of the Stone Age.
As you may have seen already, the first single off of the album is "Wanna Be in LA," which Eagles of Death Metal performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The single, which will precede the release of Heart On, will be available on Jan. 19.
The band will tour in support of the record in the United Kingdom and the United States.
The bad news for the band is that their record has already leaked online. And it's utterly brilliant.
