Thom Yorke Records Obama Celebration Track
9-Nov-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril
He’s not even from the States.
Radiohead's Thom Yorke has decided to celebrate Barack Obama's historic win in the Nov. 4 election by releasing a solo song called "Harrowdown Hill." It is currently available for a free download - as was Radiohead's latest album - In Rainbows.
The song is based on the original, which can be heard on Yorke's solo effort, The Eraser, and can be downloaded at Radiohead.com.
"In celebration of November 5, Jonny's [Greenwood, guitarist] birthday amid bonfire and fireworks in the UK and the dawn of a new era in politics in the USA, I humbly donate a remix of 'Harrowdown Hill' that was finished ages ago during the band webcasts, a small reminder of the dark days of Bush's."
So head on over if you like Radiohead and Thom Yorke or simply like getting free music.
