Spielberg and Smith Want to Be "OldBoys"
Steven Spielberg: the name behind such films as Hook, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park. Will Smith: the actor of such films as Bad Boys and Men in Black. The two powerhouses are at last teaming up, to remake a classic . . . and the term "classic" is used liberally.
According to reports, Spielberg and Smith are coming together to remake a South Korean movie, OldBoy, which is like a Kill Bill except much more disturbing. It is unknown why exactly the two men decided to remake it; and how they will change the original, if it all, is not yet known. The premise of the film is that a man, who the audience does not know whether he is guilty of any crime or not, is locked away and imprisoned for about 15 years. One day, he is released, and seeks to avenge all wrongdoing against himself. The original film, OldBoy, was made in 2003.
Sound familiar to a recent popular movie trilogy, starring Uma Thurman and beginning with the word "Kill" and ending with the word "Bill"?
