Oprah Retires!

Oprah, the best friend to many women, may be retiring as soon as one year from now.

Oprah, the daytime television queen, who, for over a decade, has enjoyed afternoons with many Americans, both female and male, may be setting aside her crown. Come anywhere from one year to three, depending on which report you read, Oprah is seriously thinking of retiring soon. The daytime television star has flirted with the idea of retirement recently, as she enters her later years. Oprah has most recently been campaigning tirelessly for Barack Obama, who was selected on Tuesday, November 4, as the next President of the United States of America.

According to her representatives, she has not yet set down retirement plans, but according to reports, other voices have noted that Winfrey is indeed considering a switch from her popular ABC afternoon time slot, to end her run on The Oprah Winfrey Show and instead focus on working on her own network, the Oprah Winfrey Network. It's hard to imagine that the wildly popular Winfrey will suddenly go into that quiet night known as retirement, as she has been a large part of television since her show premiered. Winfrey may be getting ready to settle down after all of her grueling work on the campaign trail for Barack Obama.
