Madagascar 2 Is Number 1!

Yet again, children are driving the box office. This weekend, the Dreamworks sequel to the crowd-pleasing Madagascar arrived in theaters, to high anticipation and positive reviews. Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa earned more than $63 million over its opening weekend, according to early studio estimates. That number may change as more data comes in over the weekend, and late Sunday showings of the film are taken into account. With the voice talents of Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Chris Rock and David Schwimmer, it came as no surprise that the all-star film did so well.

Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa takes off where Madagascar ended, with the same lovable animals off in search of adventure in foreign lands.
