Tori Spelling Returns to Smallville

Is a 90210 appearance in the works as well?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tori Spelling will reprise her role as a gossip columnist on the CW's Smallville. Spelling's character, Linda Lake, was first introduced in a January 2007 episode. Lake is one of the few who know about Clark's secret. Spelling is reportedly scheduled to appear in early 2009.

Spelling's appearance on Smallville may be a precursor for her appearance on another CW show, 90210. Spelling is reportedly engaged again in "preliminary talks" to reprise her role as everyone's favorite ex-virgin, Donna Martin, on the spin-off to Beverly Hills, 90210, which was developed and produced by her late father, Aaron Spelling. The CW's spin-off already includes prior characters, Kelly Taylor played by Jennie Garth, and Brenda Walsh, played by Shannen Doherty. Spelling was initially signed on for the series which premiered on September 2, 2008, however, she backed out prior to the debut due to salary issues.

Spelling is married to actor Dean McDermott and they have two children, Liam and Stella. McDermott also has a son, Jack, from his first marriage. Spelling and McDermott's lives together have been chronicled in the Oxygen network reality show, Tori and Dean: Inn Love, and the follow-up, Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
