“Twilight” Rules the Music Charts
12-Nov-2008
Written by: Susie Kopecky
The soundtrack to the much anticipated movie, “Twilight,” is ruling the charts.
As a prelude to what many assume will be a monster box office success, Twilight has now conquered the music charts, effectively knocking music giant AC/DC's return, Black Ice, into oblivion.
The vampire-driven drama/romance contains a score which fans simply can't resist, as evidenced by the soundtrack's number one placement on the Billboard chart this week. Twilight is the first book in a four-part series about two young people in love. Perhaps the 21st century's answer to Romeo and Juliet, with a vampire and a mortal. The two teens are inexplicably drawn to one another, but realize the connection must be doomed, as they come from such disparate worlds . . . literally.
It's no surprise now that the soundtrack to Twilight is rocking the charts. The film version of Twilight hasn't even been released yet, and there have already been various reports of teen mobs trying to get a glimpse of the film's star, Robert Pattinson. Twilight will be released on November 21. See you in line.
