FX Announces Return Dates For “Damages” and “Nip/Tuck”
13-Nov-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

Let’s look forward to early January, shall we?

FX has announced the return date to two of their most beloved shows.

First off, Damages will return on January 7. This is amazing in itself, considering that the network was considering cancelling the critically-acclaimed show because of low ratings and a high budget. But fan uproar and several awards seemed to help save the show over the summer.

And then comes the fantastic (yeah, this is editorializing this announcement, but I'm okay with that) news that Nip/Tuck will return one day earlier on the cable network.

The continuation of the fifth season of the drama will return on Jan. 6, and there is certainly a huge reason to watch.

Dr. McNamara was stabbed in the finale of part one of the series, and if the promos for the show are any indication, he's dead.

But the interesting thing is that Dylan Walsh, the actor who plays McNamara, is in negotiations to appear in the show's sixth and final season. So, I have a feeling he's still alive, but we'll see.
