New York Jets vs. New England Patriots Preview
Tonight, the New York Jets face off against their AFC East division rivals in the New England Patriots. Although both teams are 6-3, the Patriots are in first place in their division by virtue of the tiebreaker that they have against the Jets. New England is coming off of a big win against their archrivals in the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, and New York is coming off of a blowout victory against the St. Louis Rams. Regrettably for New England, they have been bitten by the injury bug yet again this year with the recent news that Pro Bowl line backer Adalius Thomas is out for the remainder of the season with an arm injury that he suffered.
The hurdle that the Pats might want to overcome is to try and finish a game without having any injuries. For the Jets, it is a completely different story. They have been relatively healthy, and New York running back Thomas Jones just had an impressive game last week with three touchdowns. Recently, former Patriots cornerback Ty Law signed again with the Jets. Therefore, that could add a strategic advantage for New York. Either way you look at it, the division might come down to this one game.
