Tim McGraw Hosting “SNL”
13-Nov-2008
Written by: Jill Marino

Country star makes his first appearance.

Tim McGraw can add “host” to his already blossoming resume. The country superstar will make his first appearance on Saturday Night Live on November 22.

LiveDaily reports that he will be hosting the episode and not appear as a musical guest. The announcement comes on the heels of his new film, Four Christmases, which will be released on November 26.

McGraw is also the first country singer to host SNL since Garth Brooks’s gig in 1999. Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash also hosted the show during their careers.

McGraw starred in the films Friday Night Lights, in 2004, and Flicka, in 2006. He recently wrote a book entitled My Little Girl, and released a new fragrance called McGraw by Tim McGraw.
