Kanye Thinks MTV Awards Are Fixed

Stronger hitmaker Kanye West is convinced this year's MTV Europe Music Awards were fixed!

Although the star performed and received the Ultimate Urban prize at the awards in Liverpool, England on Thursday, West insists that the award should have gone to someone else. "I won nothing last year and I'd brought out 'Stronger.' Then this year, just because I was there, I won best urban act. This was Lil Wayne's year," West said adamantly, according to MTV.com.

However, West is also upset by other awards that were given! "Britney Spears [winning Act of 2008 and Album of the Year] over Rihanna? Are you serious?" West said, further backing up his idea that the awards were fixed. "I mean f****** [ceremony co-host] Jared Leto? He's my boy but he shouldn't have won [the Best Rock Act and Video star award] over some of those other artists," West added.

Nonetheless, MTV states that the nominees and the winners of regional and genre trophies were selected strictly by the votes of the viewers, while the top award winners are decided by a panel of professionals from the music station.
