Due to safety issues, she could not perform.
Just a day before she was set to take the stage, pop singer Rihanna canceled her concert in Indonesia reportedly due to concerns about her safety.
Although the “Umbrella” singer was scheduled to perform in front of a massive sold-out crowd on Friday, Rihanna andd her management team allegedly changed their minds when the Australian government issued a travel advisory. The advisory reportedly issued a warning to its citizens to avoid Indonesia amid fear of revenge attacks after three Islamic militants were executed for their involvement in the 2002 Bali bombings.
"We suspect the sudden decision had something to do with the execution of three convicted terrorists on Sunday," spokesman Troy Waroka said in an e-mail reply to the New Paper. However, Rihanna will hopefully return to Jakarta, Indonesia to perform in January, according to Reuters.
