Beyonce Wants to Be Wonder Woman

If I Was a Boy hitmaker Beyonce Knowles has revealed that her aspiration is to one day play Wonder Woman on the big screen.

With a Golden Globe nomination already under her belt for her role in Dreamgirls, the star would like to attempt acting in another film. "After doing these roles that were so emotional I was thinking to myself, 'OK, I need to be a superhero,'" she says, according to MTV.com.

"I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman," 27-year-old Knowles tells the Los Angeles Times about donning the superhero's signature red, white and blue costume. "It would be great and it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a very powerful thing."

Although we have been waiting for almost three decades for the big-screen debut of Wonder Woman, it is only a matter of time until an actress is chosen to play the huge role. However, Knowles would like the world to know that she would love to play the female superhero, saying, "I love Wonder Woman and it would be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso."
