Internet Hoax Claims Death of Teen Superstar
Worry not Cyrus fans! Miley Cyrus is not dead as one Internet hacker led us to believe after posting a morbid video to the singer's YouTube account.
Family and friends have denied the claim, saying it was the work of a hacker.
The two-minute clip was set to a somber Cyrus track called "Goodbye," along with an alleged message from her best friend, Mandy Jiroux, says the Metro UK.
The video, which has been removed, said: "Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. She always told us if anything ever happened to her then tell her loyal fans first before the public. R.I.P. Miley, we'll never forget you!"
Cyrus's representatives have confirmed that the Hannah Montana star is still alive and working on her next project in New York.
"We are doing out best to find out who this hacker is. Thank you for your concerns, Miley fans," it apparently reads.
