More Beatles to Come

The Beatles' lasting legacy may be something none of us ever heard before . . .

Could it be? Forty years after they exploded onto the music scene, there is still something the Beatles made that the world has yet to hear? It sounds impossible, and yet it is true. Sir Paul McCartney, one of only two of the surviving Beatles, is apparently anxious to release the 14-minute song, described as "experimental" by those who have heard it. When speaking with BBC 4 radio on the song, McCartney noted that he hopes to showcase the song as "it would show we were working with really avant-garde stuff."

Before releasing anything, McCartney needs the express approval of Ringo Starr, and those who control the legacies of deceased bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison. Is McCartney too excited to keep his band's legacy away from the public, or could this song have him seeing green since his expensive divorce from Heather Mills? Only time with tell.
