A Possible Season Saver for the Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys might have just saved their season late last night on the road against their heated division rivals in the Washington Redskins, and the final score was Dallas 14 to Washington 10. After his injured pinkie on his throwing hand kept him on the sidelines for the past few weeks, Cowboys pro bowl quarterback Tony Romo came back to the starting lineup. Although Romo did not necessarily have his best game, he did toss the game winning touchdown to Cowboys rookie tight end Martellus Bennett. Romo ended the game with 198 yards passing, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
However, the real linchpin in the Cowboys victory was running back Marion Barber. He ended the game with 24 carries, for 114 yards, and one touchdown. Barber also put the game away with some big catches and rushes in the fourth quarter. One play that will stick out the most is the huge drop by Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss in the fourth quarter that could have led to a touchdown. Both the Redskins and the Cowboys are now 6-4.
