Angelina Jolie Replaces Tom Cruise in Movie

It's rare that a female replaces a male in a movie, but Angelina Jolie recently confirmed that she replaced Tom Cruise in the espionage drama, Edwin A. Salt.
When the international star was asked about the movie role in am interview on BBC Radio, Monday, she said, "I'm working on a film called Salt. And it's with [Bone Collector director, who she previously worked with] Phillip Noyce. And that's it."
Reports of Jolie replacing Cruise - who dropped out - when the film first surfaced back in August. After Cruise bailed, the writers reworked the lead character into a woman.
The film's plot seems rather interesting - a CIA officer is falsely accused of being a Russian agent, and then tries to get away/redeem themself.
After the film wraps, Jolie vowed to take a full year off.
"I like being home a lot," the mother of six said. "First and foremost, I have a lot of children, and I need to make sure they're growing right and they've got us there for them."
