Cloris Leachman Hospitalized for Pneumonia
17-Nov-2008
Written by: Jill Marino

Actress now resting at home.

Cloris Leachman was diagnosed with pneumonia last week and was hospitalized for treatment, reports Reuters.

The 82-year-old comedienne, last seen hoofing it on Dancing with the Stars, is now resting at home after falling ill. On Thursday, her rep released a statement saying Leachman “had a slight cough and wasn't feeling totally herself, so she went and sought medical attention from her doctor.”

Leachman is also scheduled to tape a piece for Dancing with the Stars this week, her rep added.

The actress was the oldest contestant ever on the show and received a huge fan base thanks to her comedic dance routines on the dance floor. She also won an Oscar for The Last Picture Show in 1971 and garnered eight Emmys for her work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
