The Boss to debut record in January.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will release a new album in January, a follow-up to their critically acclaimed record, Magic.
Working on a Dream will come out on January 27 and was written and recorded during breaks the band had on their recent concert tour, reports the Associated Press. Five days later, on February 1, Springsteen and the band will take the stage during the Super Bowl in Tampa.
Springsteen said of the new album, “I hope ‘Working on a Dream’ has caught the energy of the band fresh off the road from some of the most exciting shows we've ever done.
“All the songs were written quickly, we usually used one of our first few takes and we all had a blast making this one from beginning to end,” he added.
Some of the song titles include “Queen of the Supermarket”; “Tomorrow Never Knows”; “What Love Can Do”; and “The Last Carnival.” There will also be two bonus tracks with the 12-song list.
The new album will also be released one week after Barack Obama’s inauguration. Springsteen performed at rallies for the President-elect during election season.
