The Oscar-winning actress, who recently competed on “Dancing with the Stars,” was hospitalized, but is said to be doing fine and has returned home.
Actress Cloris Leachman, who recently gained publicity after competing on the ABC show, Dancing with the Stars, was hospitalized last week for an undisclosed illness but has since returned home, according to Reuters.
Though Entertainment Tonight reported the actress was suffering from a bout of pneumonia, Leachman’s spokeswoman said the actress was suffering from a mild cough.
"[Leachman] had a slight cough and wasn't feeling totally herself, so she went and sought medical attention from her doctor," her spokeswoman said.
"She is currently at her home, and is expected to tape something for 'Dancing with the Stars' later this week," the actress’s spokeswoman said.
Details of the full extent of Leachman’s condition have yet to be released.
Leachman was a popular contestant on Dancing with the Stars, but was eliminated during the sixth week of competition. The 82-year-old is the oldest person to ever contend in the dancing competition.
Before Dancing with the Stars, Leachman won an Oscar for her performance in the 1971 film, The Last Picture Show. Leachman also played the character of Phyllis on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
