Alec Baldwin Joins Rosie’s Variety Show
18-Nov-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

The special will air on Wednesday, November 26.

Alec Baldwin has agreed to appear on Rosie O'Donnell's upcoming NBC variety program, which is scheduled to air on Wednesday, November 26. It will be live from New York's Shubert Theatre.

Baldwin joins an already stellar cast, which includes Liza Minnelli, Ne-Yo, Alanis Morissette, comedian Kathy Griffin and 30 Rock star Jane Krakowski.

O'Donnell is trying to bring TV back to what many call the "good-ole-days" when there were many different variety shows. In a recent interview, O'Donnell said that she wanted to duplicate what The Carol Burnett Show and The Ed Sullivan Show did, for this generation.

On the show, expect to see a monologue from Rosie about something in the news, a few musical production numbers and then various sketches.

O'Donnell is the variety show's executive producer, along with David Friedman.
