The Top Model Jays Get Their Own Operation
18-Nov-2008
Written by: Satyra Riggins

New show for Top Model coaches Mr. J and Miss J.

According to the Los Angeles Times, America's Next Top Model coaches, Jay Manuel, aka “Mr. Jay,” and J. Alexander, aka “Miss J,” are getting a chance to star in their own show, described as a cross between Top Model and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Manuel is a stylist on Top Model and Alexander is a runway coach.

Their new show, which has yet to be picked up by CW, is entitled Operation Fabulous. The show follows the Jays as they travel around the country and advise small town girls on how to work their style in the real world. Manuel states, “We're teaching them to enhance and maintain what they've already got."

The show is a sharp contrast to their snarky roles on Top Model. However, CW President of Entertainment Dawn Ostroff says, "Jay is your parent in tough love. He tells you the way it is, but only because he wants you to be the best you can be. As much as Miss J criticizes and rolls his eyes, deep down, he's just looking for the girl who can get it done."
