Actress taken to hospital after taking ill on flight.
Actress Winona Ryder has been hospitalized after falling ill on a flight from Los Angeles to London, reported TMZ. Ryder, 37, spent an hour at Hillingdon Hospital in west London, according to Reuters. Ryder reportedly felt fine upon landing and her publicist, Mara Buxbaum, stated the visit was simply a precautionary measure.
“She did fall ill on a flight and as a precautionary measure was taken to the hospital. She was there maybe an hour and was released. The bottom line is she is in good health,” her rep announced.
According to British Airways representatives, a priority landing was requested, but the crew looked after Ryder as much as they could before the plane landed, with some passenger service staff even going with her to the hospital.
Ryder’s representatives have refused to comment on the illness. The actress will be costarring in J. J. Abrams’s Star Trek film.
