GQ Announces Its Men of the Year
GQ has named Leonardo DiCaprio, Barack Obama, Michael Phelps, Jon Hamm and 24 others its Men of the Year.
DiCaprio received the Leading Man award for "the most mature and memorable performance of his lifetime" in the upcoming Sam Mendes film, Revolutionary Road. Phelps picked up the Golden Boy award for his outstanding eight gold medals at the Summer Olympics, while Hamm took home the Breakout award for his Golden Globe-winning role in the AMC series, Mad Men.
President-elect Obama received distinction as 2008's Game Changer, an honor which was determined before election day, the Huffington Post reports. Also included on the list were actors John Malkovich (Mad Genius) and Aaron Eckhart (Villain), tennis star Rafael Nadal (Court King), General David Petraeus (Leader of the Year) and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane (The Mogul).
A red carpet ceremony honoring the winners was held in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
