Guns N’ Roses' “Chinese Democracy” to Premiere on MySpace
19-Nov-2008

Guns N’ Roses will release its first full-length album in 17 years entitled “Chinese Democracy.”
On Thursday, Guns N’ Roses fans will be able to hear the band’s much anticipated yet long delayed album, entitled Chinese Democracy, on the popular networking site, MySpace.
According to Reuters, the premiere will have some restrictions, “Members of News Corp-owned MySpace will be able to play the songs on the bands' MySpace pages, but they will not be able to download them onto their computers.”
Much speculation has surrounded the release of this album by the band which first came on the music scene in 1985. Over the years, the line-up of the band has gone through several changes due to band strife, drugs, alcohol and egos. Yet, the most well-known line-up of Guns N’ Roses consisted of the elusive vocal frontman Axl Rose, Slash on lead guitar, Izzy Stradlin on rhythm guitar, Duff McKagen on bass guitar and Steven Adler on drums.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution remarks on how the numerous holdups on the album were viewed by music bigwigs, “The endless delays and false promises of lead singer Axl Rose’s oft-rumored project became a bit of a joke in the music industry over the years, as the teenaged boys who were fans back then aged into their 30s.”
The current members of Guns N’ Roses who perform on Chinese Democracy, are lead vocalist and piano player Axl Rose, Dizzy Reed on piano, keyboards and background vocals, Tommy Stinson on bass and background vocals, Chris Pitman on keyboards and background vocals, Richard Fortus on rhythm and lead guitars and background vocals, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal on lead guitar and background vocals and Frank Ferrer on drums.
Guns N’ Roses' record label, Geffen Records, plans to exclusively release Chinese Democracy on November 23, 2008 in the United States to the electronics chain, Best Buy, Inc.
