Superstars Attached to Grammy Event
Music's biggest stars are signing on for "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night," on CBS, Dec. 3.
Five-time Grammy winner Mariah Carey, LL Cool J, and Taylor Swift are the latest names attached to the special, LiveDaily reports. Other musicians that were already tapped to perform are all Grammy winners themselves. Celine Dion, John Mayer, the Foo Fighters, and B. B. King, who has won a massive 14 Grammys over his career span.
The event will take place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. Also, the concert is going to mark the grand opening of the Grammy Museum. The nominees for the 51st Annual Grammys will be announced during the event, which is a big step from the usual press conference-type announcement that occurs every year.
The public can buy tickets for the event and the proceeds will benefit the Grammy Museum. After the live telecast, a "one-hour exclusive concert by one of the evening's performers" will be happening for ticketholders only, said a press release.
The Grammys will air on CBS on Feb. 8.
