The pop superstar’s divorce proceedings from estranged husband Guy Ritchie are set to begin on Friday.
A court schedule for London’s High Court states that the divorce proceedings for pop singer Madonna and her estranged husband, director Guy Ritchie, will begin on Friday, according to the Associated Press.
The case is listed under Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S. It will be presented in the High Court’s Family Division.
It is unlikely that either celebrity will attend court, though both Madonna and Ritchie are entitled to.
The widely-speculated separation was announced last month by the singer’s publicist. The couple have a 7-year-old son, Rocco, and an adopted son, David Banda, from Malawi. The singer also has a daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship with fitness trainer Carlos Leon.
The terms of the division of assets or custody has not been made public. The estimated worth of the couple is around $525 million.
Madonna is currently traveling for her “Sticky and Sweet” tour. Ritchie is in Britain filming a Sherlock Holmes remake starring Robert Downey, Jr.
