Lil Wayne Plans U.S. Road Trip
20-Nov-2008

Rapper announces series of concerts.
Rapper Lil Wayne will be going on tour next month to support Tha Carter III, his latest album that just reached double-platinum status.
LiveDaily reports that he will play a dozen shows across the country from December into January. The first show will be on Dec. 6 in Rochester, N.Y. That show is actually a makeup date from an Oct. 26 concert he had there. During the concert, the audience was told that because the sound system wasn’t to his liking, Lil Wayne would not be performing.
The rapper continued to have problems with his live shows after that. After the Rochester incident, the next night he “was apparently unable or unwilling” to go forth with a security checkpoint at Boston venue TD Banknorth Garden. That statement was reported by the Boston Herald.
None of this seems to bother the public, as they made Tha Carter III debut on the top of the Billboard 200 and sell over one million copies in its first week. It also contained the singles, “A Milli” and “Lollipop,” both of which went to number one on the charts.
Shows in Houston, Dallas, Oakland, Detroit, and Atlanta will have guests Keyshia Cole, T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes, and Keri Hilson.
