Reese Witherspoon Speaks About Being Wary of Marrying Again

Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon speaks about her thoughts on remarriage and family.
Following the dissolution of her marriage to fellow actor Ryan Phillippe, Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon has begun to speak about her apprehension about getting remarried, despite her romance with another popular Hollywood actor.
“Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage,” Witherspoon told Parade magazine in the November 23 issue.
After mounds of tabloid stories about Witherspoon and Phillippe’s divorce hit the newsstands, in addition there was much speculation as to who would get custody of their two children, daughter Ava Elizabeth and son Deacon Reese.
Following the finalization of her divorce from Phillippe, rumors began to swirl that Witherspoon and her costar in 2007’s Rendition, and one of the stars of 2005’s Brokeback Mountain, Jake Gyllenhaal, were an item. Since then, Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal have been dating and seem to enjoy each other’s company immensely.
“Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family, with people who come into your life for a reason.”
Outside of her personal life and onto the movie front, 32-year-old Witherspoon stars in the comedy, Four Christmases, with Vince Vaughn, which premiered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Nov. 20, 2008. As for her future projects, Witherspoon is in the middle of post-production on the 2009 animated feature, entitled Monsters & Aliens.
