Kristen Stewart Thinks Her Costar Robert Pattinson Is “Pretty Sexy”
21-Nov-2008
Written by: Jessica McCumber

She agrees with “People” that Robert Pattinson is sexy and says he proposed to her on set.

As teenage girls prepare to rush to midnight Nov. 21 openings of the movie, Twilight, to gush over the romance between regular girl Bella Swan and vampire Edward, actress Kristen Stewart does a little gushing herself.

She tells People magazine that her costar, Robert Pattinson, was more than deserving of a place in the magazine's “Sexiest Man Alive” issue.

“Oh, he's like a little tortured artist. He's British. He's tall,” Stewart said. “He always looks like he's thinking about something. And he's quite witty. So he's pretty sexy.”

When asked about the actor's much beloved hair, she said, “Yeah. He never stops touching it. People love that.”

Pattinson told the magazine that he views his status as a sex symbol as funny.

“I don't get it. It's funny, you look the same for years and no one ever mentions it. Then suddenly it's a big deal. I kind of cut it a little bit the other day. It's not good having trademarks. You know you are doing something wrong.”

And right in step with the characters they where playing, Pattinson even proposed to Stewart on the set.

“I mean, I don't know how serious he was, but yes,” Stewart told People. “We spent a lot of time together, a lot of like really heightened time.”

“Twilighters” have no fear though; the lion hasn’t fallen in love with the lamb.

Pattinson told the magazine, “I can’t remember proposing to her,” before admitting that he uses proposal as a “good conversation starter” with girls.

“It used to be my thing, I would propose all the time,” Pattinson added. “Just go up to someone, you know, and say I love you or ask them to marry you. It always works.”

No doubt it would work on the hundreds of newfound fans.
