Get Your Free Dr. Pepper on Sunday!

It’s not a joke, the company is giving away free soda.
Are you a Pepper?
Dr. Pepper (which is owned by Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Inc.) will be giving away free 20-ounce sodas, reports the Associated Press.
Starting Sunday, at 12:01 a.m., the coupons for the free drinks will be available via the Dr. Pepper Web site and will be up for grabs for 24 hours.
As if the deal couldn’t get any sweeter, the coupons will be honored until Feb. 28.
What inspired this act of generosity? Believe it or not, the release of Guns N’ Roses’ new album, Chinese Democracy.
Reportedly, the company said in March that they would deliver the goods if the band dropped their new album in 2008.
Since it did, the company now has to deliver.
In a statement, Tony Jacobs, Dr. Pepper's vice president of marketing said, “We never though this day would come. But now that it’s here, all we can say is: The Dr. Pepper’s on us.”
So tell all your friends, and make sure to get your free Dr. Pepper . . . oh, and maybe buy a copy of Chinese Democracy as a thank you.
