Guy Ritchie and Madonna Granted Preliminary Divorce

The former couple granted a “quickie divorce“ in London
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Guy Ritchie and Madonna were planning on getting a “quickie divorce” Friday in the High Court of London. Accoring to People magazine, these rumors were true. The proceeding took about one minute, during which the judge issued a decree nisi, the first step in the two-step divorce process. Madonna and Ritchie did not attend the hearing, and if there are no problems in the next six weeks and a day, the divorce will be finalized.
In a document released by the court, Madonna stated she was divorcing Ritchie for “unreasonable behavior” which was “continuing.”
The two have reportedly agreed on a settlement over their assets and custody of the children. Ritchie told the Daily Mirror on Thursday that “it was never about money- never about her bloody art collection. I just wanted to settle it and move on.”
